Considering my New Years resolution was to write a blog post every week, so far I’ve not done too well! I might change it to a more realistic monthly posting to keep you all up to date with what’s going on.
The sale continues with more great bargains added. Take a look at http://www.verbenastationery.co.uk/products-page/wedding-favours/sale-items/ The burgundy cake slice boxes are a real bargain waiting to be snapped up. Don’t miss out as once this lot is gone they won’t be coming back in stock.
We have already added some new items for 2012. The long stem rose towel favour is proving particularly popular. We have lots of plans for new additions so do keep an eye out for new ideas and inspiration.

If there are particular products that you would like us to source do let us know and we will certainly do our best for you.
Until next time…

Summer may be a way from being over (although you wouldn’t know it from the weather) but we are already getting orders through for this years winter weddings. So, I thought I’d highlight a few of the fabulous wedding favours that we have for Winter weddings, most of them are new this year.
Bookmarks are always popular wedding favours and these snowflake designs are a particular favourite. Your guests are sure to love being given such a practical gift and they will have great memories of your big day everytime they pick up their books.

The snowflake glass coasters are also a really practical gift to give to your guests and one that will be used for years to come. It is always nice to have items that are used only over the Christmas period and these snowflake coasters are sure to be a favourite of your guests for many future Christmases.

All of these wedding favors are to be found in the Winter wedding favours section. Do let us know what you think of the selection and if there is anything else you would like to see don’t hesitate to get in contact.

Happy New Year to you all. I hope you had a wonderful break over Christmas. Did you get round to doing all the wedding planning you had hoped? I was ill over Christmas so didn’t get round to doing any of what I had intended. I’ve got a big list for the New Year though and will be keeping you up to date with all things wedding related throughout 2011. There will no doubt be lots of wedding chatter this year with two royal weddings in the pipeline. What sort of wedding favours do you think they will choose? We think they will be very traditional, something beautiful in a pretty box perhaps – see attached picture. What do you think?
We have been making lots of new years resolutions in the office this morning. Have you decided on yours yet?

We’re signing off now until after Christmas. Emails will be checked and responded to over the Christas period but orders won’t be shipped until the week of January 4th.
Just a quick reminder to keep checking the blog for new product updates. We have a lot in the pipeline for 2011 and will be reviewing all new products on the blog as and when we add them to the site. We have added photographs of a couple of the products to be launched in 2011 to give you a sneak peak. These will be available towards the end of January if you want to order them.
Everyone at Verbena wishes you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We look forward to reading all your comments in the New Year.

We have just read an article at www.mirror.co.uk which got us thinking about weddings taking place on memorable dates.
Couples all over Britain are rushing to tie the knot next Sunday – on the 10th of the 10th of the 10th. The 163-year-old register office in Manchester is opening on a Sunday for only the third time in its history to give couples an auspicious boost. And 38 weddings are due to take place at Gretna Green, Scotland’s wedding capital, compared to the average 10 for a typical Sunday in October. The register office will be closed as usual but registrars will be working on the day in venues with a licence. Psychiatric nurse Les Payne, 56, and his fiancée Amanda Butterly, 50, plan to say “I do” at their local register office in Chichester, West Sussex. Les said: “Someone suggested 10-10-10. We didn’t think we’d get that date but we found out the register office would open that Sunday for the first time as it is a memorable date.”
Do you have a memorable date in mind for you wedding? Do let us know, we would love to hear about it. We always get a rush of orders preparing for Valentines Day weddings and have even heard of people tieing the knot on Christmas Day. There are couples that we have heard about who have joint birthdays and chosen to marry on that day and even brides who have chosen to get married on their parents wedding anniversary.
If you have a particular date or theme in mind do let us know and we would be delighted to help you choose your special wedding invitations and wedding favours. I’ve attached a couple of photos for a bit of inspiration for those of you planning Christmas weddings.
